I am considering whether funkypool and funkysnooker should be completely advert free for all premium members. (This was discussed recently at http://www.funkypool.com/thread/17004/premium-member-ad-free-forum/1 with the result being the removal of all animated adverts from web pages.)

I'd like to know from premium members whether they would greatly prefer this or are ambivalent about this. Also what would they like to be shown instead of adverts, for instance maybe quick links to certain other pages, or your stats?

I'd also like to know from members whether removal of all adverts will influence their decision process in purchasing premium.

I think it's a great idea Nick, I know I would love to be completey advert free.

Links to other pages/stats would be very helpfull and should fill the gap.

I think removing the adverts completely will definitely increase members want for premium.

Should be a favourites link section, so for me i could have a link to my clan thread, the league management thread. Basically the ability to select (just an example) 5 links which you frequently use.

happy as is - i don't have forum page open when playing to avoid the advert lag anyway.....

I use a 3rd party software with my browser to do you know what, cos I don't like adverts full stop across the internet so doesn't bother me either way, I just like the premium idea as a great way to support a great site

I always used to like when it showed people's ranks and top 10 runouts etc, also never got any lag from that i believe? Id settle for that but other than that id rather be ad free. That's all i can think of for the moment.
