I remember the suggestion of a little icon next to someones name to indicate they had reset

Personally not a fan of resetting/deactivating, even for a 'challenge'

Not a very hard challenge if you ask me

try and get on the leaderboards and stay their

Main problem with resetters is that the mode of "working your way back up" essentially hurts the rank of others and prevents the ranking system from ever becoming the handicap system it ought to be.

ive reset recently on snooker, i had quite good stats (maybe except win % but i didn't care at the time), i reset because ever since i got the set of maxs, i felt like nothing more to achieve so slowly my boredom for snooker built and my enjoyment for pool grew, im not saying i don't like pool but its a site i can relax on when i get annoyed or feel like a change/

i don't even have regret anymore, basically if i didn't reset i may have deactivated my snooker account which is worse than resetting although its roughly same thing.

but im getting back into it now thanks to the snooker on TV.

i can see why people enjoy resetting though, ive done it myself to see how high i can get my Turn Success in Carom before it registered and there are other challenges out there.

i can also see why people hate resetters because of the "fake newbie" incident what crops up all the time but you lose less to a newbie than what you do if that person wasn't a newbie so a newbie in general isn't that bad really.

I agree, distorts the ranking system and means currently the system is flawed

unless clicking 'reset' suddenly makes your performance worse
