So with 14 people, I'm thinking 2 groups of 2 and 2 groups of 3. Any suggestions for game format? Had the idea of 2 games of each of the three usual game types (possible scores 3-3, 4-2, 5-1 and 6-0), and then 3 games of each (best of 9 frames). What do we think?

Seedings have been done!!! I'm basically doing it like what you're about to see, and the position of 8th seed (!) means nothing in practice but I wanted to choose someone somehow, so I pored over stats and came up with someone. You'll see shortly why I need (or want) an 8th seed.

The reason for the 8th seed is because I don't know who (if anyone) the last player will be, and I don't want a top player joining two other top players in the same group. So if the last player is very good (and would have been seeded had he/she entered on time), he/she will join one other seeded player, and if he/she is not so good, then the seeded player and the 8th seed are obviously better than the other too, which is also what I have planned.

Therefore, the group of 3 (which will become a group of 4 when the 16th player enters) will contain the 8th seed.

And by the way, the order of players as you see them in those list of seeds is the same order they entered the competition
