Premium member - Ad free forum?

Hi All, i'm wondering if seeing as premium members are going to be the ones playing the game the most, and therefore majority will be on forum at the same time, shouldn't the forums be ad free for premium members as well? Just playing a game now, and getting serious lag because of a flashing moving ad for Virgin Media. The whole idea of the premium membership is ad free play. This makes premium membership completely useless to those with the forum open all the time like myself. Could this not be sorted?

Exactly!

Premium Membership removes the in-game adverts for when you are playing.

But considering that most users now pay for premium membership, how else is the site going to fund for itself, if you just remove the adverts from the site aswell. There might aswell be no game to play....

The adverts are there for merely the purpose of bringing funds to the site to keep it alive.

I agree the ads should be removed on the forum and home site of funky for premium members, but just for premium members.

And to answer uber as far as im aware the ads wont rake in a lot of cash from what i heard, and the premium membership im guessing is probably more than what they get paid to host the ads, so therfore if paid for it should be cut out. I may be wrong here btw lol.

Also i would like to add as i often complain a lot about it lol that the lad from ads in game for me has seem to have dissapeared so well done on getting rid of it.

I think if you can afford to take ads off for premium members in game, can afford to pull off ads in forum surely.

Arrgghhh i appreciate that ads are needed to support the website. However like a previously suggested. Set up a donation fund through paypal or whatever can be used and attempt to get funding that way. Just trial it because i just lost 3 matches thanks to lagged out shots, all at the same time as that bleeding Virgin Atlantic advert was being shown on forum....

Hmph, It must be your computer or a process causing the lag then

I get all kinds of adverts from the forums and game, plus i play pretty intense online games with suck my processor.

I am only running 1GB RAM and 1.66GHz Processor and i get no lag whatsoever.

I'll be honest, i seem to have only actually started getting lag since i got the premium membership. Which is confusing in itself

Try unchecking the premium box - if that doesn't work then i don't think its fp causing it (do you have anything else open?)

I was sat with just the game window and forum open, i dont want to have to just stop playing to go on the forum, that'd be a pain. And the whole idea was to have ad free game window.... be a bit pointless unchecking box

Im with you on this blacky , iv been getting lag at times when i have the forum page open as well , i close it and all is good, bit of a pain in the ( use your imagination ) Id like to see the adds removed from the forum page .

And yeah it would make sense to remove ads on here aswel, as we are paying a tenner lol

I am looking into possibilities for this.

At the time I set the prices to £10 for 12 months it was the lowest feasibly possible.

Thanks for looking at this mate name a price for total add free then if you can after looking into all possibilities .. I can even cut your lawn if it gets too long over the winter, no seriously mate I appreciate all you're doing and totally understand the purpose of adverts, even the 'thai bride' ones that I haven't seen in a while But I can only get poor 3g connection and the adverts make for misery

Yes! That would be more than suitable as it is only one or two adverts that are actually causing lag for me, the more movement in the ad the more lag. I personally would be happy with that.
