I can't see any reason why guest results need to be shown in a user's profile

e.g.

8 Ball Pool Friendly - guest277 (0) loses to al_ (1) with 6 balls remaining

yey thats my post but yer al i totally understand although my point was more about them getting anouncements

No probs with announcements - just don't see need for guest results to be shown in anyone's user profile

im not too fussed either way really as i play guests most of the time

Why not I dont see a problem with this. Look at it another way! You have a record on friendly games with friends or Clan games

I agree as it is pointless to keep them but on the grand scale of it im not going to lose any sleep over it and i can think of better things that could be done lol

I have no problem with this feature I'm affraid!

Tbh I like seeing my results against guests, seeing as I mainly play friendlies I play a lot of guests.

Naturally including friendlies includes games against guests, and whilst not required for the purposes requested there (clan games) it stll does no harm to have a record of any results.

Agreed. No harm whatsoever. I'm all for it in fact.

ok - so we keep guest results - why are killer results only recorded for the winner?

I guess the rationale is yet again "why not"...

If you lose a killer game and want the result you can always go get it from the winner's profile, can't you?

Then again, no good reason that I can see why it couldn't be recorded for all players involved either... /shrug

I'm guessing, but a couple of possibilities are that it would have been a small, but unnecessary drain on resources for the old server, or (more likely IMO) the fact people can leave a killer game and join another, or even log out, before it ends.

Not saying its impossible to keep track, but again unnecessary when you can get the result from the winners page.

i think maybe removing the announcements etc could persuade them to get an actual account? If they want to be recognised as a good player, create a user! Guest should be to get a taster, and then if you like it join in the fun properly...
