Hi all,

I am having problems with getting disconnected from funkypool and I was hoping someone could make a suggestion. This happens about 5 times a night

What happens is the game window goes white, I lose all my chat windows and i have to close and reopen the game window. This has led to me getting knocked out of a few tournaments.

I use Google Chrome, I have tried emptying my browser history and reinstalling Java but it is still happening.

I suspect this is cos my computer is rubbish, but i hope thats not the case. I always have msn and sometimes other things open and they never crash like this

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Ive been having same problem on all browsers.

I got told i had to reinstall windows by finding a windows re installation disk out.

I have had it for about a month at least and im not sure if system restore goes back that far.

it mostly crashes in tournaments (99% of time in fact) and i got so annoyed by it im not entering many tournaments anymore.

last night i was playing killer won 5 man (without missing) then it crashes again

Causing Dgen to lose, because everyone knows because he was posting it everywhere

I use google chrome also, and it's happened to me once, but i just figured it was a one time problem with my connection. If this is a google chrome fault then i want to know a browser i can use without this happening. Dgen you seem to have some experience in it, so do you know of a browser where it dont happen?

Google Chrome seem to have bug issues at the moment. So for the time being. I would advice you to use Mozilla Firefox.

yeah use firefox (im browsing on firefox/playing on opera)

tried system restore only went back 1 week (been happening for months) but heres the strange thing it didn't crash at all yesterday (didn't enter any tournaments) and it didn't crash in the tournie i entered this morning.

I don't think its fixed but going back 1 week what i thought wouldn't make a difference and it looks like it has

EDIT: when i tell my mate it hasn't crash for a certain amount of time it just crashes lol, spooky stuff

For what it's worth, have a look at Chrome's current known issues list : http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/static.py?page=known_issues.cs

Some pretty major stuff there, basically if you have an nVidia GFX card, forget it

Do check that chrome isn't still running in the background causing problems, firefox is bad for not closing down properly too.

Just an update, I have been using Firefox for a couple of days now and i haven't been disconnected once.

Seems that is Chrome that was at fault as was suggested

I know it has been answered but balany it is google chrome i used chrome for 3 months and it always happened about 5 times a night like it done with you, i then used firefox for a while and it was better but i got a virus i downloaded something stupid haha i been using Internet Explorer for 4 months now and have never had any problems except from lag from ad's haha
