Hey,

I was wondering if it would be possible to add an "ignore user" on profile pages, as there is an add friend button. For example currently I have been recieving a large amount abuse of a particular player. I know that this player has multiple names, however unless I still there waiting for them to log on to the other account I cannot ignore them.

Hope something can be done bout this thank you =)

Very good and as you say there is already option to add friend, I see no reason why there shouldnt or couldnt be an ignore function added!

If the ignore feature exclusively affected in-game mechanisms I could understand the lack of such a link here on the website, but since it does affect the website too, being able to add someone to the ignore list without them being in-game would be nice for sure.

a member on snooker (started today, now deactivated) sent this through...

The amount of time you spend on here is unhealthy. Why not put that time into finding a job instead of making post after post of basically the same thing. The fact you were rejected as a free helper should be a big enough hint that your time could be better spent.

ok fair enough...you think spending every waking hour on here is healthy? Mate I saw your pic on pooland that's enough to show it's doing you no good at all.

Never mind, you carry on living that quality lifestyle..

That's good advice.

I can't put him on ignore because he is only browsing.

I don't see need to send a complaint because i feel the admins would do nothing, they would just say put the user on ignore.

This is a perfect example of what angel is talking about and the crap i have to put up with.

P.S. the member is not a member of funkypool

Hmm, well the guys who actually said that needs to get a life himself, cos if he knows that you're on all the time...he must be on all the time too in order to notice it. I say you ignore them and just carry on with what you're doing.

Although i have to admit, i get bored of playing this if i play for too long, but thats just me

I think part of dgen's thinking is that he thinks that admin wouldn't do anything because he wouldn't be able to see what they do apart from the obvious banning.

Maybe some feedback from admin/mods such as if you send a complaint and some action is taken, such as warning or whatever, then admin/mods could send a reply to the 'complainer' so they know something is being done about it

Something is always done, believe me. Obviously bannings are the only actions you can see, but all complaints have consequences.

Regarding the matter at hand, ignoring users before they enter the game window, it seems like a good idea IMO.

i am on all day

pool in work (coz snooker is barred)

snooker and pool at home

i have a great life - how many people can say they get paid for playing funky pool

for someone to take the time to write a post like that shows they are friendless nobodies with an axe to grind against popular people

Thanks

Emily

Did you know that the only thing that is barred from snookers side is the java.

If you disable your java for snooker, then you can browse the snooker forums.

There are other ways of getting passed the block list but i will not say on here as it is in breach of Terms and Condtions and Forum Rules

If this is indeed correct, could an admin please point me to which part of the funkypool (or snooker) ToC or forum rules prohibits the discussion about perfectly legal off-site Internet services like proxies?

I never said anything about using a proxy.

No you didn't, but if I'm not reading this entirely wrong, you were addressing Emily's post about having snooker blocked from her work.

In turn, I wonder how it would violate funky's rules to discuss how she could get around such blocks.

Having reviewed the rules here on the site I cannot for the life of me see how that discussion would break any rules what so ever.
