Probably looking at a Vauxhall Vectra/Astra, Can pick up a 02/52 reg for about £2000 so maybe get a newer one for the £3000 depends where you look really mate

That maybe a good deal but is the any problems with it?
Not just if the tyres are ok or the engine in good con, other problems is if that car is on fake plates or if the car is stolen. You should always check these things out before you buy

think of looking at:
RENAULT SCENIC 1.4 or 1.6
or a Hyundai ?

must have high seats, not to low down to get in and out.
and room in the boot for a wheelchair.

your probably looking at most average cars that are about 5-6 years old for £3k, but like sm_rat mentioned, check out autotrader also parkers price guide is a good idea too.
every car ive bought has been £3k and been 5 years old a 1.6 average medium sized family 5 door hatch (and good mileage less than 30'000 and a good service history of FSH but ive looked for them)
