Why does top spin at a soft pace make the white go so much slower, like you are playing back spin. Its just not right people! lol. Anyway of getting this sorted?

It should make it go a little bit faster due to the top spin applied. I don't know what it is mate. I lost 8 Ball Final yesterday cause i doubled the black and had backspin on it and it went foward, lol.

midgett, back spin always works, and it was your fauklt not the game, i do that alot, i think i cklick backspin but i click a tad under the ball and i dont add any soin at all,

also in real life if you apply no spin the ball still slightly rolls forward depending on how hard you hit.

Yes, I know that, I play pool quite regulary in real life.

Just trying on the practice table then and it seems at very minimal power the spin actually does push the white further.

However at a very small proportion of the power bar it seems to counter act and just go the same pace however you can still see the top spin working.

Also to midgett, if you are complaining that the_champ is off topic by replying to your post you shouldn't have posted something that you didnt want a reply to which is also off topic as you was describing backspin not top spin.

It went foward due to the angle and where abouts on the ball I hit. It wasn't completely foward, was a bit to the side as well.

I said about the spin cause it was dodgy

The spin counter acts the power therefore causing it not to roll as much as your hoping, its due to the trajectory of the ball. Playing full top spin, so your not hitting that much of the ball meaning you cant get as much power as when you wack it in the middle,also the front spin has to use some of its spin to counter-act the natrual angle. If you didn't use front spin, so if your trying to free up a ball and natrual angle will move it away from where your aiming, front spins used to follow through to cut down the natrual angle
