Apart from New Zealand, I think Germany might win it.

Netherlands and Spain will blast through the group stage but they'll go out in the knockout stages after becoming favourites, in the same way Spain do nearly every tournament, and the way the Dutch did at Euro 2008.

Italy are aging and they aren't as good as they used to be. France are lost under Domenech, Argentina are woeful under Maradona, Brazil aren't quite as brilliant as before, and England are heavily overrated. Portugal aren't too bad though.

I think we'll see a few shocks, maybe two or three teams performing surprisingly well. Out of the "big teams", I see Germany and Brazil getting the furthest. My mate and myself have stuck a fiver on who will win it - he went Brazil, I went Germany
