suggestion about tourneys being ranked to see who is the best of the lower ranking players if there was a 600 to 680 tourney the lower ranking players would get a chance of getting a tourney win

this wouldnt work as quite a few of the "newbies" are fake. and as for people who are a high ranking but yet to win a tourney, its unfair to them. bad idea imo

I agree with Agro. Not fair on higher ranked players who are chasing their 1st win.
Also, tourny wins have to be earned, regardless of whether it takes 3 months or 3 years.
Finally, I believe that in order to succeed you have to play better players and face disappointment along the way, it will make you a better player in the long run.

yer agree with the last point aswell. i my self got to a snooker final last night (1st ever one) which i was beat by a virt :@ (im only a newbie). and i lost but you gotta take it on the chin and get on with it. just keep enterin every tourney and you will eventually get there

the only way 2 sort that out would be through win percentages as it would be blatantly obvious as to who has or hasn't been reincarnated if ya no wot i mean

This is only my opinion on this but i would of thought having ranked tournies will eliminate the fun

If this was to happen then it couldn't be implemented from ranks from 600-680, it would have to be done the same way as the game room allowed rankings(from 500-700, 700-750 etc.)
And also people create accounts after deactivating there previous account, and like Agro said, they are 'fake newbies', so they could just not play ranked games so that they will win more tournaments as they are playing against less skillful players.
Overall, I think it shouldn't happen, good idea though.

Hmmm, as funkypool has all our IP addys there could be a way of fake newbies been left out of that tours.. dont know if it works technically though..
i dont understand that one really, but never mind..

There are allways different tourneys in every league mate - so why not here too?
and who says a newbie is not a good player? Maybe only less expirienced

a lot of my rank has been lost due to lag on my pc but i see its been suggested before didnt know but i think they should be ranked to give the lesser ranked players a chance of winning tourneys that they arnt gonna get otherwise but i think also tourneys should stay the same and if u lose u dont lose points so they should be friendly tourneys but u need to be a certain rank of player to play

sorry you have lag but i dont see why you should have the opportunity to win a tourney among easyish players, whereas me my self chasing my 1st tourney win have to play unreal players most of the time. just the look of the draw. keep practising learn the way the pros do. copy them if you like, but tbh i dont think nick would even consider this as an option. and after looking at your profile cke1982 youve played just over 1000 games its not the end of the world. ive played just under 4000 and still not won one yet.! good luck in winning one

No this couldnt,
how can you tell the difference between a fake newbie (old user on new account) and real one (new users in same household as old ones)
also i could just deliberately lose matchs just so i get to play the easy people and win tournys (a lot of people may end up doing this making it pointless and not any easier for newbies to win)
Amateur tournys usually dont attract pro's because the prize for winning isnt great and amateurs arent usually good enough for the pro tournys
So valuing a newbie tourny as the same as a higher one isnt an incentive to join higher one rather the lower
and you cant separate profiles into newbie tournys and higher ones as it just becomes cluttered

most of the lower people enter tournys as a comp to see who can get that 1 round better. Its also the only way they get to play against higher ranks, so someone could be 650-700 get to 700 easy but struggle on next level stopping them getting more ranking, and still not letting them play with the higher ranks.
IMO would never work.

What about the people who use two or three different email accounts?
It is impossible to detect and ban fake newbies, they will always find a way around it.

users can only use one email per account anyway, i.e. you can't create 2 or more using the same email address.
