When an opponent leaves a table, and the message crops up 'ste can play on untill finish of break, at that point a default win is awarded'

Does this mean the game finishes regardless of the outcome. For example, playing on and unluckily potting the Black and the White, meaning a loss normally, would, in this case because the opponent left result in a win?

I was playing a US 8 Ball friendly against someone, and they left the game while I was at the table, and I got the default win message. So I potted the black despite having a few balls left. The result given was that I had won due to a foul on the black. Technically incorrect but it proves that once the opponent leaves, you'll be given the win no matter what happens next.

GAME: no1_stokie sunk cue ball (foul)
RESULT: 8 Ball Pool UK Tournament - matty9098 (0) loses to no1_stokie (2) by a foul on the black
TOURNAMENT: no1_stokie knocks out matty9098

Moral of the story: don't leave before the game has finished just incase

Strange thing just happened - my opponent left the game, and I had a carry. So I potted my last two yellows and rolled the black over the pocket to follow up (this was for a 7 balls remaining win). Then it says I won by default before I got chance to take my 2nd shot..
