I dunno, I coped both of them into good ol' fashioned Paint Shop Pro and measured the size of the tables in pixels (even though the two images are scaled down; what was the originsl resolution for each screenshot?) and got:
Table with ads: 707 x 351
Table with no ads: 709 x 366
Table with ads: 707 x 351
Table with no ads: 709 x 366

Infact looking at them images like that it looks like it is a tiny bit bigger but not noticable

All I can suggest is unless your resolution is so big already that the relative increase in size is less than it would be for a smaller resolution...?

My screen resloution is set to the recommended one that it says which is 1920x1080

Ah ok, mine by comparison is 1366 by 768, which is about 71% of yours in each dimension, or about 50% less in area. I think though it's that the large length of your screen is also a factor; if the advert bar had been at the top, you would have noticed a bigger difference. Pressing F11 to make the window full screen also does the trick.

Once the £10 is paid, are the adverts removed immediatly from the game window or is there a time delay before the adverts are gone?

The whole idea of no ads was to stop the lag, however without the ads nick would've strugged to find a way of paying for the site, hence the new paying system. so if and when you sign up, you will notice there isn't as many lags, the game is bigger (even if it is a small amount) and im sure other bits and bobs will soon be out, try checking his post about premium members and all the info you require should be there.
