yep the pool staff do an amazing job.

on snooker i run a whole clan league single handed, update table, do fixtures, deal with defaults etc.

Hi All

I find it slightly annoying when I see players who are under the age of 10 being told to keep off clan threads etc etc when they are trying to ask to join a clan.

They are told to set up their own clan, but lets be serious - there are some adults on the site who find it difficult to run clans.

Would anyone have any suggestions how we could help the younger players of funkypool become part of the clan set up without losing the competiveness ie handicap for people below 40% win ratio (3 frame headstart or something).

I know this would be very hard to implement but I think when I see young ones eager to play and join we shouldnt just fob them off

A captain or player or even a clan could take him under their wing and train them up keeping them out of the clan until they prove themselves reliable and a better player for it.

The problem with that is not many people would want to do it unless you do?

The problem with children under 10, well i say for one individual is from experience they don't prove reliable for even small league games and leave middway for a tourny invite or something, they don't really prove to be reliable. But i guess if you wanted to you could help them.

i think we are talking about the same individual hon but in larger clans they could prove they are worthy by being subbed in to a cup match that is already over with a game to spare and also in the clans individual league........

all i see is someone desperate to join a clan and I would definitely have them on board (in some capacity) if i were running my own clan.....

i agree and its not usually their fault they arent reliable as their parents are probly telling them to log off and stuff

The only thing i would say is do they have enough time to be in a clan (which applies to every single person)

As long as they message, reply, are on often and are willing to play then they just have to stick to their clan when they are happy

i take it that owen will be given a chance in warriors then

i reckon as i am currently doing with jordanwake that they should be given a month trial to see how active they are (posting,speed getting games done etc.) and how they perform in those games

Fair do's, may i suggest you do warn them that this pretty much will be there last chance at joining a clan though and if they mess this one up, no one will ever look to take them on board again.

A trial is a good way to do it, maybe all clans should be made to do apprentaships lmao, one newbie to each clan

Maybe we shudnt be doing to many trials at once, lets give jordan his then when he shows if he is reliable or not we can go onto the next one. Else we could end up all over the shop lol.

Meh some people are just about making the best strong clan and ain't in it for the fun, thats why there clans don't last

But hey of course there would be dissaproval but if they were good enough to train them up it would be fine

dont know about the rest of xfactor but allow 1 newbie on top of clan 12 min.would be helpfull to those who dont get picked for a clan.then can be subbed in when games are won or lost to give them a go at clan matches.
