Not sure if this even exists, but would it be a good idea to open a straight game also on the UK table?

Well Straight Pool only gets played on a US table in real life, unlike the 8ball games. Just one of the reasons that.

it could still be good, we dont actually play pub or club rules on here so why not straight on uk table ?

UK table is too easy in my opinion. If this was on UK table you would have damien hitting 500 runs every game

Can't blame inactivity james
All i was pointing out is that the UK table isn't as easy as people make it out to be, the balls are bigger and take up more of the table which means less room in which to use the cue ball.
True though that the middle pockets do make it easy to pot into and they are not as unforgiving as those on the US tables

i thing i do agree on is the fact that white is easier to pot in UK as well, and easier to snooker yourself using the pocket

i'd say its a lot easier to pot more than one ball in one shot on uk than us as well probably more so than the ease of potting one uk tables have over us

would be a great idea IMO, cos we get a lot of people playin 8uk, and i think 8uk is the most popular game type on here, so the UK straight table would be a lot more popular than the US table.

i think 9 ball is the most popular - probably because the games are quicker

The US table is probably more popular than the UK table as far as I can see, hence more game types.

UK straight would be ALOT easier to get a bigger run as it is in U.S Straight.

Really do not see the need for it on the UK table. If ya want to play straight, play straight on the US table.

doesnt anyone give any consideration to the new players on here, because your all good dont mean they are, will give them a good chance to get some potting practise

To be honest it wouldn't be so much for the new players but more for the old players... Remember that the only game type on funkypool used to be the uk 8 table, which plenty of players got used to and enjoyed playing on. Since the update of the US games it seems like the UK 8 has been pushed to one side.
Personally I don't like the US table, probably because I got to used to playing on the UK type so much, so I don't very often play it but I do like playing straight and killer, I would enjoy it so much more on the UK table though :-D
Somebody mentioned that straight shouldn't be added to the UK table because it isn't played in the UK in real life... In real life you wouldn't hit your cue ball into a pair of football boots or onto a dart board but I betcha you've done it on funkypool :P
Sorry for the essay, run_the_rack

i dont really like 8uk but id play str8 on that table it would be a change from 8us table and maybe even a killer on that table aswell and iv played killer in normal life on a uk table so not really unrealistic, just givin my 2 cents lol
