Another Six Nations starts tomorrow with Ireland installed as firm favourites to lift another Grand Slam.....
With the players now available to Declan Kidney you can be sure the Irish will be celebrating again.

it was, on paper supposed to be an easy game for england, but 10 mins into the second half wales piled on the pressure as england rested on there laurels, but when it got to close (10 points) england accelerated again.......a very enjoyable game, wilkinson on top kicking form

i didnt see 1 part of the game, johnny's kick into there 5 meter line, then the scrum yet england still ended up not scoring from a put in 5meters away, playing a team like ireland if we dont get these small faults corrected we wont stand a chance....AGAIN!

Soooo much wrong with this post.
1. Easy on paper? Wales have won 8 of the their last 10 Six Nations games and beat England in the last two.
2. It was 3 points before England managed to get the gap again and that was due to a poor pass from Stephen Jones.
Decisive part of the game was Alun-Wyn Jones' stupidity of the trip in the first half cost Wales as England managed to score 17 points while he was off the pitch.
But fact is, it's a winning start for England and people saying if we don;t up the game against Ireland, we will lose. If you watched Ireland against Italy, they were poor, but did enough.
But sure the standard of rugby will improve over the tournament because Ireland v Italy had a mediocre first half, but the second half was dull. England v Wales, how many errors in the midfield with the ball being dropped with mis-passes

To be honest, I don't remember hearing Flood's name much in that match, only thing I can remember him doing was passing the ball to Tait for the 3rd try.
Scotland 9-18 France was today's score, France looked alright, Scotland looked frightening but defences were generally on top when the opponents got close.

flood lost the ball to several turnovers and it was only because flood cant run fast that he passed to tait flood also missed a few catches and had 2-3 wayward passes out the wingers

still Ireland to win
hate playing Italy in the first game and next weeks showdown in Paris will decide the Gland Slam winners i think
England looked OK, but Wales beat themselves rather than England doing it.
Twickenham isnt the fortress it was a few years back so I fully expect the Irish to go there and win quite comfortably, but all in all I have seen worse first weekends and am really looking forward to the remainder of the Championship

I think England vs Ireland will be the game of the tournement.
On paper Wales should of won. I just don't think they were ready for the amount of turn-over ball England generate. If only the backs were allowed to use it all the time I think it'd been a more comfortable win.
Typical first game from all teams. Handling errors, poor calls towards the line - it'll get better as the tournement goes on.
Ireland will still be the favourites, however I do think any three teams can win it now with Wales still having an outside chance if the 'top' three teams trip each other up. Wales are still very capable of beating anyone and they were missing, as England were, some very good players.
Ireland vs France will be a cracker - can't wait!
(The Flood comment, about him being too slow to score THAT try. It was actually really good play, Flood had to give the ball in order for the try to be scored, so weel done him. Not that it made up for some of his more shcocking play. Hopefully he'll be able to emulate his club form..... he's still coming back from injury remember.)
I was very disappointed not to see Ashton play any part for England.
