Just a few things

what happened to the 9 ball league? half the players aren't there now and strange its only the people i've lost to and one ive not played (it was small enough to start with)

and does jays banning (unless revoked) mean that he doesnt win it?

would it be possible to (if thats the actual size of the league) open it up again to let some more people in who aren't in either of the other individuals as it wouldn't seem like whoever wins really would deserve it if they only played 4 games

and if Jay goes that leaves 4 in a league - which is more of a group and compared to other league winners who've had to win 12-13 games doesnt feel like it should have the same value

1. _flawless_: Will be removed as soon as the banning is more or less confirmed. Leaving it a week or two, but you can expect him to be removed yes.

2. Deactivations / players leaving their clans:
We had quite moderate interest in individual leagues in the first place, and the 9 ball league by coincidence has bled players like crazy. Bans, deactivations, players leaving their clan.

We will be looking into at least changing the rules to allow players leaving their clan to stay out season, but that's at best a change for next season, not now.

3. A small window letting people join could be possible, but have to be done now, preferably yesterday lol. We still have almost 6 weeks of season left, so adding players might be just as well as not.

Either way we definitely need to do a better job of recruiting players to these leagues next season. With that in mind, I plan to keep registration open at least one week past season start - since most players apparently tend to not follow forums much at all until the season kicks off. And even more so during summer holidays.

clan singles are a joke iv won all but 2 of my games because i got them played and because of deactivations and a banning i now find myself with 9 points your better off not playing anygames and winning 3 in the end and winning the whole thing

and the question i would ask is how u loose points in singles when players deactivate............and yet the team clan games points stand somthing not right there

why the difference ??

the argument would be.......players wouldnt be able to play them players ,,, well i would have said they shouldve played earlier instead of leaving it till now .....like i said its a joke

The difference is that in the clan league games all games yield points, whereas in the individuals only played games count...

Which in turn means that if we were to let played games stand after people get deactivated or banned, we would make that league an even worse joke since some players would be able to get a higher number of games played than others possibly could.

I agree the individuals is a bit of a joke this season, but not from a flaw in the system.... Of the 11 people joining 9 ball league, 3 are left.... Where do you think the problem lies?

How to solve it I have no idea what so ever. Leaving the removed players' games stand is certainly not an option as long as we don't do defaults for the other players never getting a chance to play them.

so why play games, why not just wait till the end and win by default
i believe by playing my games i was doing the right thing
now i get penalised once more

i believe it is not the person playing but the people who dont who should be penalised for leaving it so long

just my oppinion

You are having a somewhat twisted view on this if you think having results against banned/deactivated players is somehow being penalized.... In fact in can in some cases do exactly the opposite: Remove a bad loss that actually gives you a better position on the tables compared to another player who had a better result vs. the removed player....

In the end of the day, removing past results is the only fair way to go - whether you like it or not.

What we need to look at is how we can 1: Get more players interested in the first place, and 2: Avoid them leaving.

Nick implementing a regret feature for deactivation is one step in the right direction. Allowing players to stay in the individual league despite leaving their clan might be another step we need to take.

Hello all

I will be running the individual league next season with the help from liam__scfc

There will be 3 individual leagues as usual, one for each game type: 8 ball, 9 ball and 8 uk. No player may take part in more than one of these (in addition to the regular leagues and cup of course)

Only players who are part of accepted clans in the clan league may take part. All previous rules will apply.

When posting a request to join please post what category you wish to play in, with also a back up one.

I will now be taking requests to join, please post here
