i think you should have 2 league still cause it make you wont to tried hard to say in the divi one or traying 2 move up a divi i think if you have just one league
it will not be the same where a team going up or down that what makes your league so good pot

people we not brother if they at the bottom of the league and it be unfair on teams that are traying to win the league it the same at the end of the season when people no who won the league already they just cant be brother
that was the only thing that kept this league running for so long cause the way it is and the way it run
people will lose all interest just the one league if the top team is running away with the league

also i think keep 2 divisions
1 league would be good but in reality may cause lot of problems.
if there is / was more teams then can have more leagues or slightly bigger ones! but i think no promotion or relegation be a bad thing and sad loss!

Why have one league when it has been 2 for a number of seasons? 2 smaller leagues makes for competition at top and bottom of each league.

One league will take too long to be honest, splitting into 2 leagues is best so players dont get bored so less defaults and etc.

People will not bother if they are at the bottom of the league and it will be unfair on teams that are trying to win the league. It's the same at the end of the season when people know who won the league already, so they can't be bothered.
That was the only thing that kept this league running for so long, 'cause of the way it is and the way it's run.
People will lose all interest in just one league if the top team is running away with the title.
