Shouldnt the previous winner be a number 1 seed?

Group stages rules are as follows:

Match format is 1st to 3 in 8ball, 9ball & 8ball UK & 1st to 2 in straight.
You are to play everyone in your group once, there is no order in who you can play but there will be a strict 4 week deadline that all matches have to be played by, group matches are to be completed by 3rd April 11.59pm(GMT), no matches completed by then will be decided by default.
A match win will score 3 points, a draw 1 point for both, when all matches have been completed and some players are level on points, frame difference will then come into play.

no, the seeds I have done for the draw of the groups are decided by the overall rank of each player, the games are played via friendly game format unless both players want to play them ranked then they can.

good games mate, very well played 8UK was just not my day that golden that i just missed could have changed that game around to be honest and Nath forfeited the straight games half way into the first one. Awesome games mate!

Could of but hadn't spoke to doubted2 because he's away on holiday & liam said he'd play if it helped get 32 players but wasn't bothered about playing so thought without them 2 only left us 1 over for 24 which is workable and didn't want to delay the start of the comp any longer.
Sorry about that but have found from the past in this, someone nearly always drops out, bannned or deactivates so if your ok to be 1st reserve player, should someone drop out, you could fill their place?

Yep, but make's the draw worse for ya cos means you have higher seeded players above you in your group.
