Just started a game - the network reports its busy- i get dumped out and lose 7 points - really good guys.

This is something that happens to virtually everyone now and then when playing over the Internet.
The problem could be anywhere from your own PC, your own network equipment, to anywhere along the series of network equipment and cables to go through on your way from your home to where the funkypool servers are hosted.
