The result is 2-1. The outcome is for the default process to settle, according to standard rules and guidelines.

A player deactivating or getting banned is just the same thing as if they were offline for the rest of the fixture. It is not a forfeit Merv.

In the end, activity levels and effort made to play is determining the result - and being offline from now on out obviously favours the fellowship in this match, but it is in no way a given 14-1 lol

Surely if one player deactivates the rest of the frames available must go to the remaining player?

Only reason i could see this not be the case would be if the remaining player never logged in again where they may view he didn't qualify for the remaining games due to inactivity also?

In no doubt a true point Keith, But any games which has not been completed or played will go to default no matter how obvious the outcome may be.

Nope, the total effort to get the game played (including the effort to get it played BEFORE it actually got started) counts toward the total.

Obviously, in most cases the ruling will clearly favour the other side anyway since the activity of the deactivating player will be low - especially since it happens as early as only half-way through the fixture.

The reason the remaining frames aren't automatically awarded the remaining player is that the effort leading up to that point matters. Consider this scenario: Player A is only every single day for the first 12 days, player B is only only two of those 12 days. They play each other on day 12, with a result of 0-3. Player A goes offline and remains offline the next 2 days, leaving the game to defaults. In that case, player A did a LOT to make the game happen far earlier in the fixture, for which player B with much lower activity is to blame. So in this case, player B would be awarded for being available AFTER the game was started, but player A would be awarded for better efforts earlier in the fixture period.

I haven't looked at their activity for the first week since I am not part of the default process for this game anyway (nor are gandalf and joker86 obviously), but it's a safe assumption to expect a fellowship win, AND equally safe to expect less than 14

But when there is more than half the fixture left (usually the busier half for organisation) how can he make the effort?

Surely deactivating is deliberately trying NOT to play the games and guaranteeing the fixture doesnt get played?
(banning are different as the player hasnt deliberately tryed to avoid the games being played)

In cases like this (where the person has stopped playing to deactivate and make sure the fixture doesn't get played with over half the time remaining on the fixture) should result in the remaining frames going against

*I know this may seem biased because it benifits me but its nothing to do with this as i am aware any rule changes would take place afterwards

Sorry to post this on wipeout thread but it seems to be being discussed here

He obviously can't, and his activity for the latter half of the fixture will reflect that - and be part of the basis for the default ruling of course.

The point is simply that even if a player deactivates and goes 100% inactive for a bigger or smaller part of a fixture, that doesn't void the activity comparison for the days leading up to that point in time

And no worries about the discussion Steph, it's been all good-natured this far and hopefully serves to help people have a more or less common understanding of the rules.
