I can't even upload a decent picture of myself and I know other people are having the same problem. It would be good to at least up the limit 50 kb. The height and width could stay the same, but please increase upload file size. With all the improvements I've seen added to this site since i joined, it puzzles me why the avatar options are still so primitive.

I agree. Spent ages trying to put pictures on that are all too big. Decreasing the pics ends up with really poor quality.

go to www.imageshack.us and change everthing so it fits.... always works with me ^o)

I have to agree here. I make alot of clan pics for people on this site and its annoying sometimes when i get one finished that im quite happy with only to find its too big. Then when you make it smaller so that it will fit, it goes blurry. Like bricktricity said the height and width is fine its just the file size.

Try using the following:

Ensure you set the size to 160*120, any size larger than this is wasted. As far as I'm aware, any correctly sized picture should easily fit within 25Kb.

The limit is set small as these files are downloaded often. Upto 10 might be loaded for a game of killer pool, on a forum page or the leaderboards.

ok thanks nick, and i understand now about all the avatars being on one screen may slow down game play due to file size..didnt think of that.
