Still banning them from a few fixtures doesn't really achieve anything
If you think you're going to have a second default against you, and you get banned for 2 fixtures you wouldn't really be bothered if you hadn't tryed much already and it would have no further influence on your willingness to play
Something which seems stricter would imo make people more willing to make an attempt or do what p00l_ph3n0m did and ask for a sub

wow, finally went to bed and check back in to find nearly 5 pages of new posts here, I could understand marc being banned for maybe two games, but an entire season? that just seems uncalled for, I believe I read on here that usually the person is banned for the rest of the season, but hasn't he played some of these last games of the season? according to this rule I believe (though I could be wrong) he should have been banned from playing in the last few games of the season after he returned, banning him for an entire season because of this mistake seems ridiculous.

Having said that I see that a few members of the clan have said that if marc is not allowed to play for the entire season, they are considering not playing either. Will I be saddened if FBI does not play next season because of this? of course I will. Will I stand by the decision if the majority of the clan decide to take this course of action? of course I will. FBI is a family, a dysfunctional family maybe, but a family nonetheless and if there is one thing I have learned it is that you stick by your family, thick and thin in good times and bad. all the best

The sole blame doesn't lay with marc, far from it...to suggest that I should have made a sub is unfair when they could have done it too! Half this clan is American, who are not obliged to come on erly and play games, so it's not only up to our end to make subs all the time and get games played! Damee's point on the previous page is the best one I've heard so far, far better than having to read janmb's pungent drabble anyway!

Jesus Christ... the clan leage was made so we all have something FUN to do so why ban players for a whole season? I disagreed whn you banned kirk and when you banned no_talking too, but why ban players its all a matter of fun for crying out loud.

If they do not play a game and it is their fault then ban them for the next game, don't wait til they get 2 and ban them for a season thats just ridiculous.

I like everone here is in this for fun seems all the fun has been sucked out of this now its becoming "too political" (for want of a better phrase.)

Think the better phase is bureaucratic, which has been said somewhere

Rules need to be followed otherwise a fuss could be made everytime something like this comes up
Im thinking because this is coming up now that either there are quite a few people who have read the rules (or read them properly) or people dont like things going against them so i would suggest EVERYONE re-reads the rules to make sure they're happy with them
because all the league runners are doing is enforcing rules which everyone should have agreed to
and hes being banned because the defaults are going against him not because his games are going to default so his logins would have been checked and found to be below satisfactory

Dont take this personally Steph because I do appreciate the time and effort you put in but I have to agree, it's gone belly up, gotten out of hand, gotten too political and is not fun anymore. I think change at the top is needed or a more relaxed enviroment is needed.. something we had for those few enjoyable and entertaining seasons! I wont be back until then.

pot i would like to add a small comment

it seems the rules are the rules and surley a league committee set these rules,,,, thats fine

so in an extrodinary set of circumstances with respected ppl and clans threating to walk away, surley there should be an appeals sysems in place. to discuss this extrodinary situation

captains from all teams should be asked for theirs thoughts, if they all agree this is an excepceptional situation then put it to a league appeals tribunal to decide wether this discision is to stand

not just accepted it would appear from the outside that the rules may have been broken but a season ban seems excessive

it has been a great season for FBI what a shame this has to end this way... im not sticking my nose in i just think there is a time when common sense should prevail

Sorry Craig but I think the fact the people are threating to walk away shouldn't come into this situation! A group of people throwing their toys out of the pram because the rules have not gone their way it not a reason why the rules should be changed!!
