refering to the_gas_man's request to be in Blackout.
Yes, but as the sharpshooters are no longer in the clan, he is now left clanless through no fault of his own.
So surely he is free to join Blackout.

sharpshooters are in the clan cup though - to me, that means they are still involved

as stated in the clan cup post in sharpeshooters they are required to form a clan of 5-12 players and put the clan in by friday thereforei presume there old clan list is void.
Is there any1 i can contact regarding this who will have the definative answer?

Yes gas man is in this clan on basis i recieve flumpys list on sunday as requested and sharps were a day late.
