Seems there wasn't one I could change or rename soooo.....

Anyone been watching the World Championships?

Normally an exciting time in the world of Athletics. You get to see some raw talent blooded on the circuit, and that we have.

The obvious talking point is Bolt. New world record, can he smash his own 200m record?

It's turning out to be a cracking World Championships with lots of shocks and surprises.

Well done to Philips Odowu who's finally won a major medal!

Yeah excellent stuff,

And jessica ennis on her gold in heptathlon

Shame about christina in 400m women thing is she was in lane 8 your cut off from the race really.

Glad Odowu got gold 20cm behind the board aswell! he went bit ott to the press but oh well lol.

Not sure abou tBolt smashing the record but yeah I think he will get another WR.

Totally forgot about Ennis! Which is odd considering her gold was the leats expected. She's meant to be even better by 2012. She beat the rest of the field by 200+ points, which is really good!

Yeah Christina hasn't been running that well. To be put in lane 8 is a nightmare when you wanna be pacing yourself on the middle group.

Greene in the 400m Hurdles is one to watch for the future, very strong runner!

Looking forward to the 200m now!

Watched the 800m women last night

Great bronze for us

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/athletics/8211119.stm

Caster semenya destroyed the other competitors last night. Suspicions have grown over the weeks due to her massive improvement, muscular build and deep voice.

Personally despite "innocent until proven guilty" I think this south african will test positive.

If not I will take it all back I do feel for this person as its a very embarrassing case.

I think 200m final is at 8:15pm UK time. Not sure where u guys live so u'll have to look at bbc website if you r some where else.

Also, i think bolt has a plan. As you can see, he does not put 100% into running any of his races. If you beat a world record, you get $100,000. He is beating records every time as he tries harder. If he tried his best, that would give him a harder world record to beat meaning less money. So he is gradually going faster in each race to get the highest possible amount he can get by beating world record after world record. It is a clever tactic and i think this is what his coach has told him to do. Not exactly sure though, but it seems like he is doing exactly that. What r ur ideas on this?

How close was Meadows to a Silver Medal? Her finish is the best at that distance!

Semenya - I'm flabergasted at the handling of this. Poor woman. I think when everything comes out the IAAF are gonna have a lot of explaining to do as to their handling of this situation.

I also don't know how hard it is to 'prove' she's a women. A hair from her head, bit of blood, whatever, will show her chromosomes. It's very simple really. XX/XY - why all the fuss. Why 8 weeks?

I also can't believe anyone would look at her build and decide that she's a man. Anyone see the Canadian Silver Medalist from last nights 100m Hurdles?

Looking forward to the 200m. I don't believe Bolt does that at all. I just think he saves his runs for the big finals.

Very close lol

It is very complicated actually may tests to be done not as simple as that.

I suppose they look at the amount of tesosterome (think spelt right) in the body.

Yeah I did quality race that canadian was massive lol.

Suprise win for the jamaican loved the reactions when she was confirmed the winner haha.

They shouldn't have to do testosterone tests though. If she's female she'll have XX chromosomes and XY if she is in fact a man.

You can't change the chormosomes you are born with. It's all conjecture at the moment I suppose.

So they think she was born with both bits making her a hermaphrodite?

I wish they'd just come out and say if this is this case..... They should know how easily confused I am!

You cant blame them either way they have to follow up an accusation like that especially with evidence.

It could clear her name.

Yeah I understand that. I just don't understand why they've had to tell everyone, like the worlds press. Could of been in private without anyone knowing.

They actually released the statement a few hours before her race. How unprofessional!!!
