i was dead serious about my suggestion for premium over here, i can see it as an even bigger money maker for nick as i would guess that there is a considerably larger userbase on pool than there is on snooker.
how many would be willing to pay for the privilege i am unsure but it would surely shut people up complaining about ads, even tho they agreed to them when signing up

Over on snooks you can purchase a premium account, in which the adverts are removed making the table bigger.

how exactly did it lose it for you??
did it take over the screen everytime you went to take a shot or magically take control of your cue and shoot in a different direction?

We don't care about the ad. We don't care what it's advertising or that the site has ads or that the Terms of Service make a point of ads.
What we do care about is when the format or the form of the ad itself causes interference or disruption to the gameplay. It's a Flash ad, and it seems comparatively resource-intensive when compared to the Ladbrokes ad, or even other Flash ads. And if you're using Internet Explorer 6, which is all that I can use, there no option to turn it off. Not that I would go recommending it as such, as I'm sure that if I did, this post might be edited for obvious reasons. But when something, ad or otherwise, affects gameplay to the extent that shots can't be taken properly (or at all sometimes without having to recue), then a change must be made.
To summarise: we don't mind ads. But we do mind ads (or anything) that are made up or something that ruins gameplay. This has nothing to do with going premium.
