shouldn't pool be divided into age-groups in order for us to avoid the shock of constantly beaten by an under-twelve, or finding out that the enchantingly chatty guy (or gal for that matter) is over 80? No offence meant for these age groups though.

Why should age matter in that?

Anyone can play, and anyone can be as good as anyone else regardless of age.

Being beaten by an 'under 12' is no more ebarassing than being beaten by any other age, really anyway.

Lol i dont think this is a valid arguement tbh, age is age if you practice long enough any1 can beat some one in anything, maybe should be dividied into skill groups if anything but even then you wont get that much better by playing people with less skill.

Age shouldnt be brought into a pool game... It is very frustrating at being beaten by a younger MEMBER of funkypool... I can tell by experience as it is no laughing matter being beaten by your son

There's no argument to this. EVERYONE can play this game, therefore a 90 year old can play a 6 years old and it's the same as two 30 year olds playing. As has been said before, you play who you get.

A 30 year old goalkeeper can't refuse to continue a match just because a 17 year old Wayne Rooney has scored a goal against him

Fortunately for me, nor my brother or my dad have ever beaten me, just thought that would comfort you hearing that

And age doesn't matter. In professional snooker you don't see steven hendry turning down a match against the new-comers simply because they are younger.

im 21 still and have been for the past 21 years lol

Fun is the name of the game here, lots of us have it regardless of age, skill level etc, people shouldnt be labelled regardless of the reasons.....if we was all perfect, then the world would be a boring place...by the way ive been here a while and im still rubbish.....but hey!!! i have fun trying
