Deliberately playing "bad" in terms of setting up the next player for an easy shot is a perfectly legitimate tactic toward the higher goal of winning the game.

Damien will go nuts if I go into more detail on explaining that one I guess, but lets just say it sometimes (conditionally) is wiser to play an easy shot for the player behind you, rather than the normal mode of giving him/her as hard a time as possible

Back on topic: "Setting each other up" cannot realistically be outlawed at all since it's often a legitimate tactic in killer.

Besides, even if you could make this "illegal", it would be nearly impossible to reliably distinguish between a player setting up another on purpose vs. a player simply missing his/her attempt at a safety. Also remember that a lot of players struggle far more with the concepts of power control, cue ball angles and spin than they do with actual potting.

you should be able to play for real money or fake money when the final version is out
you could top up fake money for free if you run out every 5 or so hours

Few tweaks I can offer are:

When watching a game be able to see the players lives left, I don't mind not watching the play but you don't know as a watcher if they're going to be playing 5 minutes or 20 minutes etc.

Not sure what the auto-refresh timer is set at on the homepage and if it can even be changed. But a faster Auto-Refresh would be perfection.

Thats all I've noticed thus far, brilliant design though, hats off to you yet again for entertaining the masses.

Question...on the speed pool (which i've just played for 3 hours straight and still cant get faster than 1:07 ) If i finaly get the 50 second time i'm after...and then someone called "_a_" gets the same time, would I be 2nd to them?

I'm guessing there's a millisecond timer or something that we cant see but i'd like to know for sure

How often are the leaderboards updated?

For example, i saw a player with £53 but was on the leaderboard as £40. Been like it for a while.

In answer to squeezy' query the small print states that in the event of a draw (tied times in speed pools case) the prize will be shared.

So alphabetical order doesnt come into it

and if you could lay off getting the 50 second time for another 4 and a half hours I would be greateful lol

farren remember that the money you see is there overall "fun money". The leaderboards only take into account profit money subtracting the original "fun money given to you.

As far as im aware it is pretty quickly updated.

The speed pool result is done to 2 decimal places, ie hundredths of seconds. It's not visible at present but it is stored. I will look into a way to display that as you're right - it is confusing.

The leaderboard should be no older than 2 minutes. Remember the weekly change and total amounts are different. The amounts shown in the games are the totals.

Thanks Nick, I'm useless at the speed one. I don't miss but I still never get under about 1:20. I've tried potting softly and hard. I've tried with spin and with no spin and still can't bring my time down. I'm giving up on speed pool

And to be honest there is a nack in that you have to quickly position to prevent much movement on the balls after the pot.

But im not going to pretend it was all skill about 50% was sheer luck lol. I potted 2 off break I think..

I log into killerpool and click on speed pool. It opens the game window, but it says practice(offline)

I have only ever played the game once before, but on the homepage, it says at the chat box on the bottom... Connecting to the Killerpool game server (please wait)...

I can see everything else on the page such as the game rooms etc.. but for some reason i cant connect..

I can also connect to funkypool fine.
