From an impartial point of view, let me just point to the rules for this issue:

"3.2 Game room type
All games must be played as friendly games, not ranked. Game rooms should be private. Spectators may be invited subject to mutual consent between both players."


In short, if either player, for whatever reason wants to refuse another player from watching, that's their right. Players come first, spectators second.

As long as people don't disturb, it's of course encouraged to allow people to watch games, but if someone is not comfortable with it, that's ok.

Also note that this is not the decision of the player creating the game, nor either of the clan captains. It's entirely up to both the active players, no one else.


Bottom line:

Players: Be sporting, let people watch if they want to - keep a light tone, this is a fun event.

Spectators: Respect the players and keep comments in a positive tone.
