I started to talk to someone earlier online and we talked a fair bit.

They then logged off, then the message saying "Your friend _______ has logged off."

But the odd thing is that I never added this person to my friends list!!

im sure i didnt.

It is very possible that this person added me, so does that count now?

have you by chance spoke to this person in pm, you may of accidently clicked add to friends instead of the x what shuts pm box

Did you have them as an opponent in a league you may have added them this way and waited for them to come on before playing

Your freind boy has logged in, I didnt even add him, havent even known him.

Maybe you have spoke to him in recent weeks - and just forgot you have added this user.

I took a friend off friends list once didnt even notice, happens.

There was a thread once about ppl 'disappearing' off the friend list - happened to me loads..and i know others its happened to too.
Ive had it tell me friends have logged in/out way after they have an all!!

Im staying away from it in future :P

i may have clicked it accidentally - i tried clicking on "add friends" then quickly closing the PM window (without them knowing) to test out if I could have done it on accident - and it still added this person to the list.

so I may have done it without knowing, but I still doubt that...

I doubt I added this user, I dont add people who go asl all over the place!

A pop up when you click add friend in game asking if you really want to add/remove friend would clear all doubt if you had added them/removed them or is a system error

You could have went to click ignore and accidently clicked add.

i wasnt trying to ignore the person, or click it days earlier....it was when i was talking to the person for the first time.

i messaged someone (offline message) and all the sudden they were in my friends list!?!?!?!

could always just take those who shouldn't be there off?

Last time id posted on a thread regarding F lists, it was cos ppl had gone 'missing' from my mine. The new prob is..someone was 'added' to me list and im 99,9% i never added them (Even tho they said i had and musta been drunk!!)

Though its not a real problem (an i dont mean actual person who it added, tho he's debatable:P) its just baffling...

I don't know what to do but...
Search your friends list and take out the people that you don't really know.

Hmm, strange I'm pretty sure it's happened to me before as well, but I'm not sure what the problem actually is.
