Its happened with me also...
i think its happening because funkpool is running behind and hasn't been refreshed in awhile its got nothing to do with your internet its the server running behind causing it too slow and make you lose connection thats why tournys start like 10 mins later...We just need nick to reset or refresh server and it will be normal again.....thats what i think anyway.

That's good, but add the "/t" option to let it continue longer... Even with an unstable connection you can very well get 4 packets through without problems.
But since so many others, from (I assume) different ISPs, have the same problem this must be something else anyway

It can still be the service provider (yours or funkypools) even if your connection works fine with other sites. In that case, it's typically one of the last hops before you reach the FP servers.
Control question... when this "disconnect" happens, can you access the funkypool web site still?

it's been happening to me all weekend , seems to be a bit better now though , i can't see it being the service provider as the other other pc's in the house have been running ok

The tournaments starting a bit late isn't from the server being over-worked. I'm not sure exactly why it is either, but I can guarantee you that.
The clock on the physical server might be running 10 minutes late, or the tournaments are intentionally left a bit late to make sure most people don't miss them, but not sure. In neither case should this be responsible for this problem.

Definitely sounds like it's server side for sure, but at the same time it can't be a load problem I think. If it was, all users should suffer from it more or less equally, but that does not seem to be the case.
We might still be talking about a load issue on a network router though, close to the server end. This would explain why some people (on one or a few ISPs) have this issue while others don't.
I'll make sure Nick takes a look at this thread, plenty information here.
