Brilliant final goal by Rossi, great play and a much better second half performance by the Azzuri.

Well played the Yanks though, battling until the last, just couldn't cope with the Italians' class with only 10 men.

Spain sure are favourites, and who can blame them with the team that they have? But I could see them slipping up and Brazil (underdogs for once) nicking the trophy.

Spain Brazil looks a tasty final!

On a better note, England U21s beat Finland U21s in the U21s European championship 2-1 despite Michael Mancienne getting sent off fairly early on. We were poor but we won.

Know this isn't for that type of football but doubt many people will bother with a new topic created, plus it clashes with the Confeds

Also Spain Germany 0-0 draw in the same group.

Mancienne...What was he doing? 30 minutes in and he rugby tackles the opponent inside the box! We weren't good, but a bullet of a header by Richards to win it though.

It just shows that Italy look past it, while Brazil are simply fantastic. Opens up a chance for Egypt and the USA to get through as well, with the Americans leading 1-0 at the break.

Up next, USA-Spain semi, and Brazil-South Africa. With what's happened tonight with USA coming from bottom of the group with 0 points to go through second on goals scored, could another upset be on the cards?

I can't see it in truth, so a Spain-Brazil final is looking most likely, but on the last two performances of these two, who is favourite? Brazil were brilliant on the counter, very quick play and some classy passing, whereas Spain were lacklustre up until their first goal, and still weren't brilliant afterwards.

It's set up nicely, and I'm still anticipating the semi-final result, there could be a shock, but I'm personally, now tipping Brazil to win the tournament.

Spain usually play brilliant in their first two group games, rest up on the third, and then lose their next game. However, this didn't happen at Euro 2008, and they are 35 games unbeaten. Brazil were sublime against Italy though.

Should Spain and Brazil make it through, it should be a great final (and maybe a sign of what is to come for next year?)
