Messi!?
No, Ronaldo has still got a long way to go, and it doesn't just finish here.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!
As a donator to animal welfare charities, this makes me sick to the gut.
Sure, £80 million can get you a egotistical, over-confident, ungrateful man who runs around a pitch kicking balls once a week.
But then that same £80 million can protect every last endangered White Rhino on this planet for 2 whole years!
Hmm... I wonder which is more important
*End Rant*

Put simply, immensely. Love him or loathe him, Ronaldo is irreplaceable.
Eighty million pounds is certainly a sizeable sum to play with - assuming it all goes in the transfer kitty - but the plain fact of the matter is that no amount of money can buy a player who can offer what Ronaldo does.

The problem with the deal is that the money is going to be over 5 year installments, therefore Man u will not have the money straight away for the transfer kitty (but they always have money). The question is now who do they replace him with ---- Ribery!

One of the few things I hate about football. These days it's all about money, and now lower teams have no chance of buying (or even holding onto) really good players. Money football clubs have could go to Africa, decrease poverty etc.
Ticket prices are also a disgrace these days. 22 quid to watch Hamilton vs St Mirren, and 25 quid to go away to Parkhead in a horrible away end - it's stupid.

argueable really look when they signed him, 15 million or so and he was a virtual unknown. sir alex has proven he can find players from anywhere and bring out the best in them
