before anyone starts moaning about this thread and robbean getting his clan ready for the new season, i didnt know players in clans already where not allowed to be mention they was leaving for a new clan for start of the new season.

i dont make the clan rules i just play in one and moderate the forums..

Steph has specifically told you that you could not post your line up for next season as it involves players already in clans.

To go behind her back and seek permission from adidas to post here is just idiotic.

As Kev has stated, he just moderates the forum and plays in a clan, he has nothing to do with the rules around the league.
You don't need Kev's permission to post the thread, you can post any thread you want anywhere......however if you want to join the Clan League that myself and Steph run then you need to abide by the rules we set for that event and seek permission from Steph.

As she has already told you not to do this I am confused. There have been many other complaints from people about you running a clan next season, including threats of withdrawals from the clan league by some awesome people who I have stood firm against in an effort to make this fair and give you as good a chance as possible.
Now you have done this, I wonder whether I was wrong to give you the benefit of the doubt.

If you cannot follow such a simple set of instructions as to not post a line up because of stolen players then I can't see how you can run a clan successfully.

Luckily for you, there are still a few weeks before next season starts so you might be able to get Steph to forgive you for blatantly disregarding her instructions. I would also recommend asking one of the moderators to edit your original post to exclude your line up, keep the thread but lose the names.

people are free to post any clan content they like Adam.

Forum rules and league rules are two things apart.

If someone list members they haven't cleared with each of them, that will be their own problem soon enough.

Just to repeat and make if possibly even more clear:

I fully support event hosts to form the rules they see fit, but there are a few limitations to that mandate. One of them being anything that regulates how users use the funkypool site, both the game and the forums.

Of course we try to cooperate on this, making the forums support the hosted events as much as possible, as well as hopefully run a compatible set of rules on both ends, BUT please clear this with us staff first and not form rules that regulate users' use of the forums without our consent.

If you'd like a league related forum that you have full control over and that you can incorporate into the league rules, that needs to be an off-site forum not associated with funkypool.

Not really sure where we are disagreeing here jan? I said he can post what he likes, where he likes and when he likes....I am not trying to regulate his use of the forum.
I am just stating that one rule of being in the league is that you cannot announce signing of other people's players until the window opens.

Having typed that I guess that is regulating his use of the forum in a minor way.
So robbean feel free to post whatever you like about other peoples players and ignore the rules we set surrounding entry to the league, we don't mind, just don't bother sending us messages asking what you need to do to enter and then do the opposite in future Good luck forming your clan

Well, if a rule pertaining the participation in the league requires users to post (or not post) in a certain way, that indirectly regulates users here on these forums, which is not a good thing.

If at all possible, please try to make sure the league rules in no way reflects back to what users do on these forums. That's a two way deal though - if both parts (the hosts and FP staff) agree on a certain rules that DOES include these forums, that's fine, but then it need to also be included here in the forum rules, not just for the league.


To move on a little bit, I completely agree that it is bad form to post new clans with members currently playing for other clans during the season, but that's a matter of opinion and should not be founded in rules

Well maybe for future references then that such a rule could be made? As we all agree it is not right to do that.

Hope this one sticks for you m8, looking like a good team but would of been more sporting to wait untill end of season to announce players that are still playing in other clans currently (unless all the players in question have told their respective clan captains they are leaving end of season and ok'd it to be public knowledge), but that's my opinion.

we haven't listed players that are joining us who are at the moment playing for other clans which everyone playing in a clan knows not to do till the end of the season , plus we don't keep creating clans then finishing them and joining numerous clans then quitting so please if you don't mind keep the flying piglets out of your petty quarrel
