I was playing a UK ranked game,lost, and no points were deducted. About 5 seconds after the game finished a message was displayed saying that my opponent wasn't responding. Surely though they should still have gained the points for a ranked win??

How did you lose?

Yes, this can certainly happen if they disconnect between them starting the shot and winning the game.

Note this isn't a loop hole that can be exploited - this only occurs when the winning player logs out.
