I have a problem installing Realtek High Definition Audio drivers.
When installing the driver from motherboard CD that was provided with it, the driver installation stops with an error message:
Install Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure !!

When I look at the device manager, it says that the audio device is not installed but the ethernet and video devices are installed and function properly..

I'm using an INTEL DG31PR motherboard . Also using WinXP Pro...

I tried to reinstall it again but still the installation has'nt succeded...

Try using the updated driver from the Intel website : http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&Inst=Yes&ProductID=2839&DwnldID=16998&strOSs=44&OSFullName=Windows* XP Professional&lang=eng

It was released in february this year, so should be fine with XP Service pack 3 etc.

With realtek drivers I highly reccomend uninstalling any reference to the existing drivers before trying the new ones.
