it happened again just now, 8uk speed tourny with filky. i cant do nothing and as usual i can hear the countdown timer. worst is that he got a carry since my random shot penalty didnt hit any ball.

Can you please give me your Java version and a step by step account of what occured?

My Java version is 1.6.0.

When the tourny invite came, i clicked invite and accept, the chat box indicates that i joined the game room, the balls re-racked to the game type im supposed to play and then it frozed. i can moved my cursor but cannot clicked anything on the screen. then i will hear the countdown timer warning until i can hear the random shot penalty with my ball hitting another ball or hitting the bank (this happens while my screen was still frozen)

Then i would hear my opponents break or take a shot and afterwards i can see the balls movin again and i can play the game normally.

this usually happens when im the first one to break.

Thanks for the detailed information. Are you unable to use any buttons on the screen from this point onwards, eg options, game rooms?

I'd definitely recommend updating your Java in any case, it's pretty old.

My one is getting better, however it still is occuring but it doesn't bother me now.

When it does happen it doesn't interfere with the game.

Ived updated my Java to version 13, and seems working well until the other day when I was playin a game of killers with janmb. Whilst in that game, after having taken several shots already, the announcement to join straight tourny came and i clicked joined and then my screen frozed. I cant do anything. I waited for several minutes and even tried to join the tourny via the main page (which works) but eventually got DQ.

I have had an issue with my computer recently, pop ups kept coming up on my screen each time i went to a new screen. Thinking i was good i decided to reset my factory settings! This did then wipe out Java, i reinstalled the most recent Java

1.6 versions 13

I have played a few games today, and the balls seen to stutter along the table and it appears to slow down the game play. Can anyone help me please?

And now it wont let me except an invite to a game! It cant all be coincidence but i have never had this many problems in all my time on this site! I have checked my operating system and this is working ok on other sites, my speed is working well and all my connections are fine. The invite window was invisible and I couldnt go to another room *to watch the game I missed*

Can someone please help me before i go mad! Cheers and with much respect.

Reading posts on here, i've got to admit to suffering from lag/stuttering over the last week or two, especially on sat & sun just gone.
I play counterstrike and our server get's like this over a while, lag/stuttering, we then reboot the server and all well again for a while and then it creeps back slowly, just wondering if the server/servers for funkypool have had a reboot recently and if not, could it be worth a try to see if fixes this problem?

Sounds like im moaning, but this isnt getting any better. My game play was better tonight but again my invite for the semi final came up and the invite box was transparent! And it would not let me press the invite. This has now happened about three or four times. Is this my comp at fault? Ive never had this before only since i up graded to Java 1.6 - 13

I played in work this morning and checked my Java, and that runs great - both game play and never any issues, i run Java 1.6 11 in work

Do i need to send an issue or can spinner or nick please help my questions!

Ffs Ive updated it and now just occured again!

had tht problem today my screen just froze and then wen i minimized it and opened it the screen was black. Ive got the latest java so there shudnt be any problems

Same here, im using opera browser and it freezes a lot.

Im getting lags more than normally.

But I can safely say the freezes have gone.

I have deleted Java 1.6 13 from my laptop!!!!! and i already had an earlier version on my machine 11 i think, this seems to be working a lot better now. Maybe it has something to do with the latest Java, anyway thanks for the help

its done it to me again this time but in uk tourny. Starting to annoy me cos just started to play well in 8 ball uk lol
