I got a new computer today, all set up, all the leads in, connection working fine, but no sound even though my sound is apparently on full blast? Is there something I have to do or even have done Thank you

Are you using speakers?

It might sound obvious but perhaps the monitor (presuming you got a new one of those too) doesn't have built in speakers.

It came with no speakers so I assumed that they were just there, it turns out you are right and I've just snatched some speakers from another computer and bingo, I have sound
