i recently just installed nortan anti virus because the macafee which was free when i bought this laptop expired.since then i havnt been able to get on the play screen?its just plain black:S?

I am using the latest norton on my laptop and haven't had any problems accessing the play screen at all. Which version of norton are you using?

the java is a new download.....howver it did work before i got the nortan....would it stop working?its just a black screen that appears.

Its extremely possible Norton will be blocking the game applet thinking its malicious (false positive's are a Norton speciality)

You can try clearing you browser history, including downloaded program files, rebooting, then coming back to the site to see if that helps.

If not, then a fresh Java install *should* let Norton know you mean to be using the game.

- Go to control panel
- Add remove programs
- Remove all the java versions you see (there may be more than one).
- Clear browser histories including downloaded program files.
- Reboot (even if you're not told to)
- Then visit http://www.java.com for a new, clean, install.
