33 defeats in 43 finals, with 21 from 24 in 8 Ball US. I have a few memorable defeats, one including a game where I was on the black. Simple to pot, but my opponent had luckily left the white right in the pocket, so I had no hope of connecting with the black. I also had a final where I lagged on the black. Other finals have just contained my opp having all the luck, while I had none.

Also, in my only straight final so far (I don't enter them much, tourney times are bad), I lost 38-32.

I always feel like nothing goes my way lol, and I just despise finals most of the time.

Any tournament i enter, i tend to lose at the 2nd last hurdle, that's why i've not entered one in ages, it's too heart breaking.

I got exams coming up in May/June... surely that's unlucky!

Ouch, similar happened to me, I was on 34 points, in the final, and on my last pot, I potted it, celebrated, only to cannon the white into another ball and potting it!


I thought I'd be okay though becaue my opponent was on 17, but a break of around 25 sure proved me wrong.

8 out of 10 final defeats, lost 2 2-1 with the first game they won me fouling on the black, and the decisive games, well them missing badly only to fluke a snooker when I would have been in to win it.

Another final I lost 2-1 with some lag on the first shot and a bad miss to follow, could have won that one too

People that play me regularly comment how awesome I am, and that I'm the best player they've ever played on the site. And you know what, I actually agree with them. With this in mind how gut-wrenching it is that I haven't maxed out my ranking over 950 for 8 US, 8 UK and 9 ball. Things are just not fair.

haha ive had my moments i remember playing some uk frames with quick_pot and made the black 4 out of 5 breaks for a runout very annoying

I always feel unlucky due to never ever being able to hit the top in the rankings, I can beat everyone and anyone on my day, but rankings, I just always foul on the black once I hit the top 10, or internet goes down etc... then you just give up trying for a little while. Could just be because I don't have the tempremant, I don't know, but me having high ranking, or atleast rankings I want, aint meant to be

But to be fair, if I take a step back and look at certain things, I have probably been one of the luckiest funkypoolers. Tournament wins, spoke to some great people,played in some amazing matches and of course the oppurtunity to moderate the site , the list is endless !

There's a difference between unlucky and just plain bad cuey . Try and stick around in your games longer and ya may win a few.

i stick around, i just usually have to 'GTG' very often

the threat has seemed to change from the most unlucky to who has lost the most finals and how
but i am the most unlucky as i never seem to concntrade and am watchin a movie or something, because of this i'll (on average) pot the white 2/3 times a game

im unlucky as i was born with the attention span of a chimp

I have the attention span of a fish! In exams I spend about 5 minutes looking at walls between each question

(And I lose lots of finals!)
