Maybe he simply did not contribute enough to mod and admin life. There are plenty of candidates who are more willing, so maybe they thought it would be for the best........

Uncapped briefly just to clarify things - pool_life stepped down from his admin role, possibly only temporarily and entirely for his own reasons.

He's contributed a massive amount to the moderating of both sites over a period of years, a great deal of it behind the scenes, and we're all sorry to lose his help.
