Owen. Here's some information that might come in useful, and I'm passing this on not as a member of staff but as someone who keeps an occasional eye, but not too much, on the clan threads.

In order to participate as captain of a clan in the Funkypool Clan League, which is currently the long-running clan league here on the forums, you need to play one full season with a clan in that league.

In order to play one full season with a clan, you need to be accepted as a member of a clan and remain with that clan for the rest of the season, making sure that 1) you don't leave, and 2) you don't do anything to prompt them to remove you. These are things that are your responsibility.

Now, regarding this clan thread that you have resurrected. Please note that it is 5 months since anyone has posted on this thread. This means that the clan is no more, with all the members either with new clans or no longer part of funkypool. The last post before yours was "if nobody wants to step up as capt, unlikely anyone will, then cap pleas", which was a request for an existing member of the clan to become captain, which did not happen. One of your later posts was "cause they might want help". It is clear after five months that they do not, and this shows how important it is to carefully consider posting on an old thread that more than likely has gone out of use.

This thread is now capped, because it is an old thread belong to an old clan that, despite a good 11 months of activity, is no longer active, and has not been for 5 months.
