When using the practice setup on 9 ball i sometimes pot all the balls just leaving the 9 and a spare that i push out of bounds towards the end of the table. I'm then free to practice repeated position and potting on the 9 ball, as it's placed back on the table because of the remaining spare.

The other balls being potted leaves plenty of space to play your desired shot and end up on the 9 ball again.

Is there any chance of adding a practice layout that simply re-spots the 9 ball on a clean table? I know it's not top of the wish list, but give it a try and i'm pretty sure you will see the benefits, despite it being a very minor change.

Probably not, but it would be easy to implement. That said, once the 9's the only ball left and it goes down, then I guess your practice game of 9 ball with yourself is over and it ought not to matter what balls re-appear where. I won't vote either way though

What would be nice is a straight pool practice table in which the 14-ball rack appears when there's just one ball left.
