as there ever been speak about an invisable mod as when people in chat see the mod the shut up and if the mod is lucky sumtimes the person might push there luck or argue the toss by aving an invisable mod more people would get caught out as i no these things go on and you wont be able to stop it but it angers me when i have an 8 yr old ply this and sumtimes i cant always stop here from seeing what people put and she thinks these people saying it without punishment and thinks it is ok and this is a game for all ages so i dont expect a rude response by saying she shouldnt be on it and even at times being in the chat room it sum times seems as it is a sex or dateing site and i know and all u do too this was not what it was made for so soz if it seems rude but really enjoy this game and the misses and kids too and it isnt fair and the inviasable mod suggestion is only help to a problem tht is occuring regurly soz...

Moderators do their utmost to remove anyone from the site that breaks the rules. However, if they haven't seen the offensive language you speak of, what grounds do they have for a boot?
That is where the send complaint button comes in. Click that and the offender will be dealt with.
Also, if you let your eight year old child use the site, then aren't you the one responsible for ensuring they don't witness things you don't want them to? From the sounds of it, you're a good father and keep a watchful eye over your child, so in the end, if you let them use a service which you know to sometimes have offensive language, you are the one ultimately responsible.

Using your argument of "its a game" - why not create a game for your child and put whoever enters on ignore? A lot less offensive language there

Every possible route is taken to try and ensure Funkypool is a nice site, however there will always be a small minority who try and ruin for others.
The procedures Funkypool use are sufficent enough in the handling of offensive behaviour. All complaints are dealt with - so every offence reported is noted and dealt with.
As for invisible mods.....................

As for invisible mods.....................
A genuine excuse for those that complain about never seeing a mod online then?
I wont let my child on here due too the offensive nature that, as John said, the minority of people abuse the site for, so perhaps some fault is also directed at the 'adult parent' for allowing them to be subjected to the foul language that sometimes occurs.
Theres only so much can be done, nothing in this world is ever perfect.

This isn't exactly related, but has anyone else noticed an increase in offensive players recently? I used to only get swore at and abused once every 1 or 2 weeks (the case for most players I believe), but this week I've had no less than 5 people swear at me and show no respect whatsoever. Also, this is the case for a few of my mates as well. Anyone else being disrespected more recently?

Not sure if this is a joke, but does it matter if it is an eight year old or an eighty year old, surely grammar isn't as important as a decent standard of behaviour ?? I am an ardent supporter of Decent behaviour.
I add a quote made by Nick in another Thread......
I had always believed both sites were "Family Friendly"
I will apologise now, but I will always side with someone who is standing for a decent standard of behaviour over someone who thinks it is ok to allow "Any old thing"
I would also like to add, that I know for a fact that on Funky Snooker that Mods often had "second" accounts To "Keep an eye" on things, I don't know if that happens on Pool ??
Edit for spelling and grammar

Why would you describe funkypool as a family pool website?
We would like to moderate the public chat rooms to a family friendly standard, filtering swear words etc, but I can't think what other reason for describing funkypool as this. (And yes, the chat content is unfortunately often not family friendly).

Haven't mods got to be visible so they can help someone if they need it?

I'm starting to think there is such a thing now such a thing now by the way the mods are acting with the ''winks'' and ''tongues out'' there is blatantly a feature for the staff to do that.. I have seen someone get botted when there is no mod in the room but surely a ''non mod'' account doesn't have the features.
