and putting a few dollar as a entry fee, which would in return be a little reward for winning is not gambling!

what is your definition on gambling then nick111?

as you say, you put in a few dollars, and if you win you get the same or more money back. if you lose, then you lose money - thats gambling!!

like to say I was to put a bet for Queensland to beat Adelaide in the A-League. I put $10 on Queensland and they win, so I might get say $18 back - dont you class that as gambling because I sure do!! gambling isnt just for losses!

i class that as gambling betting money on a team.
If your were to put in an entrance fee, but you get a reward for entering the tournament a winning that is not gambling, because you not betting, it is just a fee, but with a reward.

Just look at the posts from people under 18 on here, the spelling and grammar suggests these people have never seen the inside of a classroom, don't think they're gonna be the brain surgeons of tomorrow.

Oh... I'm 16 and I want to be a surgeon...

But how many corrupted youths are there on this website?

I'm a youth but I'm not corrupted. See how I use my grammar right and spell everything right?

Very good effort lad, but in future try not to use the same word twice in a sentence, for instance in the above example, it may be better to write "See how I use my grammar correctly and spell everything right?"

I was referring more to the people who insist on spamming the clan chat part of the forum. Yeah that was you a while back wasn't it??

It's not nice to demean someone in public. Yes, it's better to use a different word in that example, but it's not wrong to use the same one twice. Let's get back to the topic, shall we?

Whether it's gambling or just having monetary fun, it's still an individual's choice to use money or not in this situation. I wouldn't bet on anything myself, but that's just because my luck is horrible and I can't count on my own skills at pool anyway. You can't stop someone from doing what they want to do, so in this instance, I'd say it's a cool idea. At least it'd be a fun thing to try!

Just having some friendly banter with cuegod, hence the . As I recall whenever I "demean" someone in public I'm normally called something alot stronger, which the mod team seem to think is ok .

Anyway, like all debates, I won't be wasting any more breath. There are good and bad sides to it (else it wouldn't be worth debating). Most people seem to be in favour and since it will be on a separate site it doesn't really effect those people who think it will be a bad introduction.

Like MMT, (not sure if he's stuck by this), I won't be posting on the forums for a while since the general content is unintelligent and disinteresting. People of the world rejoice

no, this is gambling! if you lose, you do not get your money back. so when you put your money into a pot, you have anywhere between a 1 in 3 to a 1 in 10 chance (in this instance) to get your money back. but there is a 2 in 3 to a 9 in 10 chance that you will lose your money.

thats gambling.

think of the lotto. you pay $15 for a ticket and you either lose it all as in most cases or you win a little, or a lot.

if you put in money with a chance of not getting it back, then that is gambling. If you win money, then you have won the bet.

but it should be considered a fee not a bet on winning the tournament.

Off topic i wouldn't mind putting money on Roar and united making to A-league final, well defiantly Adelaide!

dont really care about the a-league much to be honest.

but back onto topic, as long as there isnt people losing hundreds of dollars, pounds, lira's, yen, krona or yuan - then having a having a small flutter on a game of pool is no problem in my opinion
