I personally dont like the the fact that straight pool and killer pool affect the overall ranking stat! i just see these games as party extras just for fun like mini golf and many people dont like playing them what so ever!

Not being biassed cause i am top 50 overall any way so cant complain! but i feel there is a greater sense of achievement when it is just 8 ball 9 ball and 8 ball uk as it would be contested by many more users due to the fact so many users dont bother with killer and straight!

Well isn't there a greater sense of achievement if all 5 are included?

I like how it is, adds more of a challenge to your Overall.

I think i'm a good player, but i'm struggling to make the top 50 overall but that's a challenge for me

The only way I'll make top 50 is if every player above me loses their rank or gets banned

before i read the second post and beyond, I agreed with you.

But when I looked further down the page, then I realised; yes, you got to play those games, otherwise its not truly overall.

i dont think golf is included on the overall table is it??

Golf doesn't actually have any ranking points, so no it isn't included

thourght so, just when I saw that in the original post, I didnt think it was there.

but there is no reason to take those games out, then you have to reset the whole ranking system and some people may shoot way up, or way down

except mini golf

At first I didn't like the idea of including killer and the other one in the overall rank makeup, but it has kinda grown on me, and I'm glad it is the way it is, even though I don't really play rank anymore. I'll shut up now

5 games is harder than 3. And all should count in the overall.

If you care about overall rank, all game types is what you should have to play - perfectly fair and sensible.

Killer and straight are extremely fortune dependant.

I guess the addition of killer and straight to the overall ranking system is fair as jan says. I know I was a little diappointed when it first changed since I had largely avoided killer and straight to maintain my rankings on the other 3 games. When the change first happened I dropped from 1st to 5th overall and new names were entering the top 10 just based on the fact that they were never off the game and had built up half decent rankings on all 5 games. The killer ranking system at the time was very biased also which didn't help.

The good thing to come from the change, from a personal point of view, is that I am playing the game alot less than I used to, and do other, more constructive things instead . I, like many others I would guess, simply do not have the time to regularly play all 5 game types. When it was 3 it was managable. That is all

The alternative would be to either have people's best 3 of 5, or perhaps weight it per event.
