Google Names Dennis Woodside To Replace Tim Armstrong ........This was on March 18th

It says "To replace" meaning it hasn't yet, which in turn means that Tim Armstrong is still Google's VP

True, and it has happened.

March 18: http://www.totaltele.com/view.aspx?ID=444029 - Google names Dennis Woodside to replace Tim Armstrong

"Google Inc. has named five-year company veteran Dennis Woodside as its new Vice President for Americas Operations, replacing the outgoing Tim Armstrong.

Woodside, who since September 2006 served as the company's Vice President for the U.K., Ireland and Benelux, will oversee teams the Internet giant's effort to sell search, video and graphical ads that appear on the company's Web properties."

March 17: http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/djf500/200903171951DOWJONESDJONLINE000724_FORTUNE5.htm - Google Names Dennis Woodside To Replace Tim Armstrong

SAN FRANCISCO -(Dow Jones)- Google Inc. (GOOG) has named five-year company veteran Dennis Woodside as its new Vice President for Americas Operations, replacing the outgoing Tim Armstrong.

Among others articles. And guess what - Woodside is replacing Armstrong in his role as head of American Operations, meaning... Woodside himself is being replaced as VP over the UK, Benelux and Ireland! Matt Brittin will be over the UK, whilst Ireland and Benelux will have their own directors.

But just because he's been named, doesnt mean he's already taken responsibility. It doesnt once say he's the Current VP

Just a point of (dis)interest

Tim Armstrong is also the name of the lead singer in Rancid.

I felt this was more interesting than 'bump'
