one more spot, then those on the current waiting list get promoted to playing status.

After I reach 24, I am prepared to take more people on as a waiting list. The next threshold is 32 - so I need 1 more to have a 24 person competition, or 7 for a 32 person competition.

It will etiehr be 24 or 32 people, not going for any numbers in between. so join quick to get a good spot in the waiting list!!

I will keep taking names and put it onto a waiting list. If the list reaches 32, then there will be a 32 team competition with no byes for anyone. The competition will be capped at 32.

when does the competition start? and where do we post results?

competition will start on Friday. Round one will start on Friday and I will give everyone until the next Thursday night to play their games.

When we narrow down the field to 16, the next round will start on the Friday and I will let play go until the next Sunday night.

After that, all rounds will start and finish on the Sunday night - but if all games are played before the Sunday night, then we can start another round sooner.

All times are Australian Eastern Standard time - which is 10 hours ahead of London.

we have 24 players, 16 will have a bye, everyone will have until next Sunday to play their game.

This is how the draww will work:

Every player has a number, this is your number for the draw. It is generally the order that you joined, except for certain exceptions.

I will go to a random number generator at http://www.random.org/sequences/ where I will pair numbers down the list.

as a reward for those who joined early, only those numbered 9-24 will be included in the draw. 8 need to be knocked out, so 16 need to be in the draw.

bazzacu was number one and then had to go to number 9, so joker 86 now has number 9, and bazzacu will go to number 8.

draw will be conducted at 7pm, AEST (9am GMT) tonight.

those between the dotted lines will be exempt from the draw - as a reward for joining early (and season champion)

The first round will be called the Qualifying round.
