hi i've just been plyin a game of 8ball uk and clicked the x but and i don't know why but it seems like i'm still plyin that person, i could not seen the game window but i heard the clock, any1 else had this proplem?

Java takes some time to close depending on your system speed. If it proceeds for a long time close all your browser windows to ensure Java is stopped.

it done it again but all windows where closed as i was about 2 shut the computer down, the noise that sounds when some1 joins the room happened and java logo nxt 2 the clock was not showing. it's the 3rd time its done this.

This is a real outside guess, but maybe the Java has stopped and the system is only later on getting to play the sounds? Maybe that itself is an impossibility but it was an idea I had that might be of help.

it's costing me points, i'm goin 2 close the window in the chatroom or some where a game won't start. thanks anyway.

i just came across something similar, it shows that poolh8r is in the chat room but when you click his name it says he is offline. what causes that?

Dealt with recently, dunno on which thread though. Something to do with the rate in minutes at which the server refreshes your view of such information

it's not the minutes, i'm not gettin logged out, it's happened 2 me nearly 10mins ago on funkysnooker and it shows i've played 2 games when on the 2nd game the game window was not up, here is the link 2 my results page http://www.funkysnooker.com/viewPlayerResults.do?name=jackbauer as u can see i lost when the game window was closed

As a temporary measure, all I can suggest is you ensure you join the chat room before closing the window. That way you won't end up in games you oughtn't to be in, due to this unusual glitch

i do go in the chat room or create a private game but when it done it last i was watching the game which did not start but after about 1 min of closing the window the game decided it wanted me 2 play as i heard the beep of some1 joining the game, so i said 2 myself "gl 2 them 2" but the time limit beeps started ,so i said 2 myself "oh crap more points wasted." now i'm makin sure i'm not watching any games. oh well i'm logging of till the 9ball speed tourno and i'm in the members bar if u see me lol.

What happens when you hear the beeps of your shot and then you log back in?

If you were in a chat room or a private room it would not be possible for the game client to start a new game.

it won't let me back in till my profile location says "Browsing"

that might be your problem, because IE 8 isnt tested for java yet and it causes this problem.

all i suggest is to uninstall IE 8 and download IE 7 or another browsing software like Firefox, Opera, Safari etc.

or

uninstall Java, clear browsing history and try downloading Java once again.

One of these ideas should work.

if not ask spinner, he should know what the problem is and how to solve it

i was on ie7 but after hearing in the news about it i got the ie8

well switch back to IE 7 and try it again

i can play games without any trouble , untill the internet goes down, which that is skys fault.
i'm not putting ie7 on. i'll see if the not loggin out happens again after i get knocked out of the tourno

its your choice but i would advise you to change browsers

i'd rather not get logged out than get hacked
