I have created this thread for you all as a shoulder to cry on when the bottom falls out of your world because of events during a game or games of Funkypool or elsewhere. The sooner after it happens the better. Think of it as... therapy. I shall begin...

Marathon tourney, last 16. I was playing a gentleman called smashy111. Quite honourable chap. Anyway, I raced into a 2-0 lead and was on the winning black into the middle. I missed it. Ah well. Smashy had 6 balls left, but he cleared them up very well and took the frame 2-1.

Then I accidentally potted the black at the start of the next frame although I shoulda been more careful. White hit my ball and hit his ball which banked into a ball-black plant into the middle, which I saw and dismissed as unlikely... but it happened. 2-2

Decider. One ball left before the black, which was stuck to a ball of his which was stuck to the cushion. So I played a class double to the corner to also free the black. The double was necessary cos I had no angle on the black by playing the ball directly into either the other corner or the middle. The shot went perfectly... except for what the black did after being released, which was to enter a pocket and lose me the game.

So, from being one easy shot away from rushing to a smashing 3-0 win to crashing to a crushing defeat.

I'm gonna follow up immediately with one from last night. Speed tourney. He gets a random shot and missed everything on the break, so I tapped the 1 and snookered him. He escaped and flukily snookered me. I missed. He potted a ball, then missed a ball and fluked another snooker. I smashed the balls up in case he tried to foul me out. He potted the 2, missed the 3......... and snookered me again by fluke. And I missed again. He probably didn't even realise he had won.

For obvious reasons, the opponent is unnamed.

Ok i have one from tonight from playin pool with the bf and one of pool team lads i was feeling all clever and big headed cause i beat the bf twice in a row so i sed tell u wot u2 v me big mistake they beat me i felt like crap thinking why did i do that i mean honestly.

Then i come on here oin the 11pm tourny and get robhino_0 again second night running same tourny same round n he beat me again

I've had an experience like that Cloone, although I played a succesful shot on the third (un-intentional) snooker, only for the white to slowly roll in

I got into a 8balluk marathon tourny and a add on thing made all my windows close so in turn DQ'd me

I was so angry i stopped playing for a few weeks

For me, losing 16 from 19 finals is a bit of a downer

The last two of those finals were really gutting though. I think it was on Monday.

Starts off with the midnight US Marathon (the first of the new schedule). I started off with two really difficult games, and had to play well to defeat horse10000 3-1, and walker666 3-0. I was very happy with that, and proceeded to win the Quarter final 3-0 and semi final 4-1. I then faced _slick_ in the final. I fell behind 3-0, and I could have won all three sets. He also got lucky in one of them. Then 4-0. Then on the final frame, a very lucky shot set him up for the finish, and i was defeated 5-0. Two and a half hours to undeservedly lose a final 5-0.

Followed up by the 9am Straight Tourney (the 3rd ever one, involving the trial). Got to the final, just to lose 38-32 to syd_barrett

I just have no luck at all in finals

Anytime i log in drunk and find myself in a game...usually a nightmare. Take your pick, happens most nights.

my worse nightmare on here? is xmas morning 2am, just after i opened my prezzies im on ere playin in a tourny then internet cut out so i got DQ.
So i dont know wat made me throw my cheap fone at my new laptop !!! omggg " if i cud turn bk the hands of time " i dont get to into the game now tho. this site is not worth breakin ya laptop screen for.

Ok, back then (not too long ago it was 16 finals defeats from 19.

Now, it's 21 defeats in 26, so I've won another two but lost another 5

i was playing against bastilha in 9ball and just couldnt get a shot i lost 8-1 hes unbeatable when he is doing well.

Just NOW, potted 9 and white off the break

But then I got him on 3 fouls

Now I've won 8 and lost 28, so basically 8 wins from 36. And I don't make many finals right now due to studying

was playing the 12am 8 ball tourny marathon. 2 and a half hours later was 3-1 up in the semis against rollout in a race to 4. my internet went and got dq'd. he won the final 5-0!

After 2½ hours?

I was playing in the Friday night 9 ball speed tourney. The 2 was neat the pocket and the 9 was theoretically in line for planting in the 2. The 1 was there to provide that.

So I had hoped to play a 1-9-2 followed by a 1-9, and nearly pulled it off. I thought the 2 was going in, but somehow it missed.

With that, the 2 ended up not blocking the pocket, and the guy I was playing against then took a relatively straightforward 1-9 to eliminate me. Nasty.
